Colorful Colorado and beyond…

Standley Lake | Westminster, Colorado

Standley Lake hiking trails: “The south shore area of Standley Lake Regional Park is a mountain biking and hiking mecca. More than three miles of single-track dirt trails wind through native vegetation untouched by civilization. Many trails crisscross the area, providing excellent views of Standley Lake, the Flatirons, and Longs Peak.” –City of Westminster

It is free to hike the many trails. Entrance is at the trailhead lot off 86th Avenue at Kipling Street.

On the North side of the lake there is boating, fishing, and paddle craft permits. The park offers 70 campsites, or rent one of their 7 tipis! And lots of wildlife viewing, too.
